Today I want to take the time and just reflect on the impact that Beachbody Coaches can have on the people that they work with!

Every day I check in to my challenge group, post recipes, tips, meal plans and questions to make people reflect and think about why they are working hard to change their bodies and their nutrition.  Yes it is hard and sometimes you just down right don't want to do it!

You may not always see the changes on the scale happening as quickly as you would like, but you don't give up.  You don't give up because you TRUST and BELIEVE in your COACH!  You know that if you follow the meal plan and the workout schedule you will get the results that you want!  WHY, because you see that other people just like you are doing it too!  You know that you are no different than them.  You know that if you put your mind to something you can make it happen!  You WANT TO CHANGE!!!

As a COACH I always seek to find things to inspire, spark discussion and create vision for my challengers future.

I love more than anything to hear their responses to the questions that I ask!  Sometimes it moves me to tears to just see how far they have come in their thought process and the way they view TRULY living a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.

Question: I just want you to know that YOU ARE ALL GREAT IN MY EYES! I know that each and every one of you have struggled to make exercise and eating healthy a routine! I know that you may not be exactly where you wanted to be at this place in time but I want you to spend today reflecting on where you were 5 weeks ago? I want you to think about what you have changed in your life, I want you to tell the group at least 2 things that you did on day 1 that you no longer do TODAY!! I want you to give yourself a pat on the back for working hard and doing your best! THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU! 

Challenger A:   I no longer make excuses for my packed schedule. I fit in a work out no matter what. I also gave up my 5 cups of coffee per day during the Ultimate Reset and haven't had a cup since. My addiction to caffeine is over - I still crave it, but so far... So good.

Challenger B:  I no longer use cream in my coffee! I am starting to look at my body as "hot" not I have a flabby butt etc. I'm not saying I'm not working to improve my look but I'm starting to love my body. I've never done this!

Challenger C:  I used to drink pop/soda and now that I've given it up, it doesn't even sound good to me anymore! Also, we used to stop at mcd's everytime we went out but now we bring our own snacks!  

Challenger D:  Two things I no longer do: 1) I no longer skip/eat cookies for breakfast. I make it a priority to eat a healthy breakfast. 2) I no longer make excuses for not working out. I used to always say I didn't have time. Now, no excuses ... I'm actually feeling like I accomplish more, even with workouts squeezed into my day.

This post from one of my challengers also totally moved me!  It's amazing to see that they are realizing their food addictions or their emotional connections to food.  They are holding themselves accountable by posting in the group.  Then, everyone in there lifts them up and encourages them to make a change and be strong!

"I, Jessica, vow to stop sabotaging myself with too many stupid little cheats. I work my ass off & then shoot myself in the foot because my emotions lead me to the pantry. I'm ready for a new week and; a clean slate. Last week of Turbo Fire, then onto BBL."
 
Challenge groups are more than just purchasing a challenge pack and drinking Shakeology every day.  It's more than just doing Turbofire, P90X, Insanity, Chalean Extreme or Body Pump.  It's more than a facebook group!  
A challenge group is:
  • A support system
  • A family
  • A place to feel secure and comfortable talking about your struggles.
  • A place to get motivation when you want to quit.
  • A place to improve your body and your mind.
  • A place to learn about fueling your body for energy and not comfort.
  • A place where you can get support from the comfort of your own home.

   So you can see that not only are their minds changing but their bodies are too.  I have challengers of every shape and size.  Moms, single ladies, working women, stay at home moms, college students and women who just want to be healthy and live longer!  No matter what your body type or your history it is in the past!  This is a new day and this is your chance to change your future.  To create a healthier lifestyle and to be the best version of you that you can be!  

So what are you waiting for?!

Why would you waste another day feeling BLAH, FAT, SICK and TIRED!  (Maybe a little harsh but I know that is how some of us feel)

30 Days of Insanity and Lives are Changing!



Today is a very special day!  I am officially 30 days into my "Summer Slim Down Challenge Group".  These women are amazing!  Not only are most of them moms but they have their own struggles that they are going through as well. I usually post final transformations on my blog but this one really hit true to my heart.  Brandy is actually one of my customers in which I have never met!  She was given to me through Team Beachbody's customer lead program.  She lives all the way in MI and we connected through email and facebook!  She purchased Insanity and her goal is to get off the weight she gained from her 3rd pregnancy.  Brandy really is an amazing mom and individual.  She truly cares about her family and really never put herself first!  She is super shy but I'm working on busting her out of her shell!  She always adds value to the group and I couldn't be more proud of her so far!  She has lost 12 lbs and 15 inches in 30 days by doing Insanity, replacing 1 meal a day with Shakeology and learning the clean eating principles.


Here is a background on Brandy:

I am a mother of 3 very active children: Two girls and the middle child is a boy , I also have been married for 7 years. I am getting ready to start Insanity and I want to do this challenge to motivate me to get to my goal weight and to start working out on a regular basis again (because nothing feels better than a great workout). I also would like to create healthy eating habits that I can share with my family to help them to make wiser food choices.

Why are you doing this challenge?  I am doing this challenge to lose the unwanted pounds that packed on during my 3rd pregnancy. I gained about 100 pounds during this pregnancy and had never been overweight as child/teenager so this was a new place fore me to be with my body (although I can never remember being completely comfortable with it). My daughter is now 6 years old and I have been trying to loose this weight since her birth. I have lost and gained many times that past six years. I have recently had some major medical issues and I feel I am to young for these types of health issues. So NOW is the time to loose it and keep it off. I would like to loose a total of 55 lbs. and keep it off. I also would just like to be comfortable with my body (maybe one day see abs) and teach my daughters how to be comfortable with themselves. As a family we also like to run and being active comes naturally to us but I dont feel that we fuel our bodies properly and If I can learn to eat clean I can defintlely interpret that into our family meals and snacks. I also feel that if I can teach my children this now, by example, they wont struggle with it as adults. Overall I just want to feel good about myself, my food choices and what I feed my family.

Choose a goal to reach one week from your start date: I will be on track with my nutrition plan and loose around 3 lbs.

Now break it down into a 30 day goal: I will be in a routine with food preparation and journaling and also be down 10 lbs.  

What’s your 60 day goal: I will be working out daily; start running again. Give up diet coke and down 17 lbs.

What’s your 90 day goal: I will be able to run 6 miles, complete Insanity, know what clean eating is and introduce it into the family menu and  be down 25 lbs.

What is the biggest challenge for you: My biggest challenge is nutrition and being able to comfort myself with something other than food. I also struggle with being able to say "no" when in family situations (such as family gatherings, going to grandmas for dinner...)  and feeling "ok" when I reject food that my hinder my progress.

Can I just tell you that Brandy is blowing her goals out of the water!  By no means is it an easy process but with the support and motivation of the challenge group she is breaking down walls, building a more confident self esteem and doing amazing things for her body and her family!  It's so important that we set a good example for our kids and family because these are the tools that they are going to someday teach their own children!  So it's never to early or too late to start taking care of yourself and setting a good example.  I promise to keep you posted on her progress and the end result of the 90 day challenge!

Women's Insanity Results


I am super excited to announce that my Insanity challenge has ended!  Let me tell you that I have never seen a MORE motivated group of individuals than these 3 ladies!  Each and every one of them was up at 5:30 am or earlier to get their workout in, shower and be on their way to work each day!  They made exercise and eating healthy a priority and because of that they had absolutely amazing results!! 

The first women in the group is Kayla Leventry!  She started this challenge because she was buying a dress for a friends wedding and absolutely hated what her body looked like.  She couldn't believe that she had let herself get to this point!  She made a commitment that day to change her life for the better!  To make this a lifestyle change and not a diet! She committed to completing Insanity and each and everyday she got up and worked out!  Together we came up with a meal plan to meet her needs and we worked hard to fine tune her program!  Because of her hard work and dedication here are results!
Her stats were as followed:

Kayla's Insanity Results
Kayla just started her next challenge and is doing Insanity Max30!  I'm super excited for her and she is on a mission to lose 25 more lbs!  So let's support Kayla and help her reach her goal weight!  She is doing an amazing job and is already paying it forward by coaching her own group through a beachbody challenge!  Way to go KAYLA!!!!
Next, we have Katie!  She is a brand new mother to a totally adorable little boy!  I beleive that he is only 4 months old!  She was depressed and disgusted with her body and she saw my before and after pics and thought to herself, "That's a real person with real results and it's someone that I know!"  So she decided that she was going to take the challenge and set her sights high and do the same!  Katie is so intrinsically motivated and knew she wanted to push for the best results she could get!  Katie signed up as a beachbody coach to get the discount and began the Insanity Challenge.  Katie's husband works long hours and Katie also works a full time job.  Most of the time she is on her own!  Katie did an amazing job at dealing with a newborn and a husband that is super busy!  She killed it, stayed focused and therefore got amazing results!!!
